Train for the job — and for everything around it
Free programs for youth and adults. Pick a track, find a time that works, and enroll in two minutes — no transcripts, no fees, no judgment.
Nobody gets through this alone
Mentorship is one of the four parts of Gro-Work, alongside the job board, the training modules, and the employer consortium. It runs alongside everything else — you do not finish the programs first.
For youth: PASE™
Students are matched with a mentor through PASE™ — Planting a STEM for Excellence!™. Together you build an engagement plan: what you are working toward, and which activities get you there.
- Positive Action — an evidence-based curriculum on choices, self-concept, and getting along with people
- Neighborhood Watch — looking after the block alongside neighbors, and being known for it
- Financial literacy seminars — money skills in place before the first paycheck arrives
Mentors also connect families to school support, academic planning, and the WRAP-around services on our community supports list.
For adults: coaching and peer support
Adults are matched with a coach for the practical next moves — the application, the interview, the first ninety days — and with peer supporters: people who have worked through the same things and will say so plainly.
- Coaching — one-to-one help thinking through this move and the one after it
- Peer support — a regular group with no performance required
- Recovery supports — for people protecting a recovery while building a work life
This is peer and skills support, not clinical treatment. When treatment is what someone needs, we connect them with clinical partners.
